MCASAP has been in existence since April 2004.  Since the formation we have had a core group of members.  As we have implemented more activities and become a more visible coalition in the community we have recruited new members.  In the past year alone MCASAP has added eight new members.  Recognizing the importance to have broad-based coalition representation from the 12 sectors defined by SAMHSA, in conjunction with analyzing the skills and resources of the current coalition members, we will continue to add new members to fill the gaps.  Plus as we accomplish our goals and show the success of our work, we will naturally solidify the need for the members and the work they are doing.
