HMC 2010 Health Priorities

The health priorities that were chosen by the HMC2010 Steering
Committee after completion of the assessment for community action are:
Physical Activity and Nutrition; Tobacco; Teen Pregnancy and Risky Sexual Behavior; Injury; Dental Health/Access to Care; and Alcohol and Other Substance Abuse.

These six priorities were chosen based on community health status and interest in the community to address the priority. HMC2010 has set targets for health improvement for all the chosen health priorities and published the targets. Many of the health priorities identified involve lifestyle choices that require individual change with community support.
